If you can compartmentalize your emotions, you're good to go, but I have to warn you that it's not as easy as it sounds. And while I won't advise you to be too guarded, be careful in choosing who you'll meet. Don't reveal too many details about yourself, but there should be a level of trust established before you agree to meet up.
